The Foundation for Accelerated Vascular Research, Kaiser Permanente Northern California and the Harvard Partners at the Center for Genetics and Genomics have teamed up in an effort to prevent the spread of vascular disease.
Working together, we will develop an effective patient prediction and vascular risk-scoring program. Through this risk-score, doctors worldwide will be able to assess whether someone may develop vascular disease and potentially slow or stop disease progression. This program will have a major impact in preventing major vascular incidents and, thus, will save lives, improve the quality of life, and reduce healthcare costs.
